How we handle your information.
Plain English, no dark patterns. Last updated 22 May 2026. Morning Wood handles personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Name, email, shipping address, phone (only what you give us at checkout)
- Order history and customisation details (so we can engrave your board correctly)
- Payment details — collected by Stripe, never touched by us
- Anonymised analytics (Plausible) — no third-party cookies, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your data with marketing networks
- We don't use Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics 4, or third-party tracking cookies on this site
- We don't keep your card details on file
Cookies
First-party cookies only — cart state, checkout step, and a single "cookie banner dismissed" preference. No third-party advertising cookies. The banner you see on first visit is required under AU consumer-protection guidance and can be dismissed in one click.
Email marketing
If you sign up to the workshop-drops list, your email goes to Klaviyo (US-based, GDPR-aligned). One email a fortnight. Unsubscribe with one click from the footer of any email.
Your rights under APPs
You can request a copy of any personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@morningwood.com.au. We'll respond within 30 days as required.
Complaints
If you have a privacy complaint, email hello@morningwood.com.au first — we'll work it out. If we can't, you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Updates to this policy
We'll post the date of any update at the top of this page. Material changes to how we handle your data will be flagged at checkout for existing customers.
